Our tasting notes are as follows:
Color: Bright Amber
Nose: Opens on charred oak and baseball cards but those notes are soon followed by sweeter notes of honeysuckle, cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal, apple pie filling, and vanilla extract
Palate: Delightfully spicy on entry with ground ginger and cinnamon towards the front and middle of the palate then ground turmeric followed by blackstrap molasses, buttered pie crust, and more apple pie filling
Finish: Pleasantly drying with wood spice, cocoa nibs, and ground grey pepper

Famous for starting out in a former welding shop under a bridge in Waco, Texas, in 2009, Balcones has grown into a multi award winning American craft distilling success story that now occupies a 65,000 square feet building in downtown Waco. Their single malt is distilled on Forsyths designed copper pot stills from Texas grown malted barley and matured in 53 gallon American oak barrels in the searing Texas heat; cask influence occurs quickly and maturation is rapid.
