We can safely say this is a 100% blended malt from Edrington that was married as new make spirit back in 2006. We cannot safely say which of Edrington's malt whiskies were blended together at that time but the rich red color and dark fruit nose might lead the discerning whisky drinker in a particular direction...

This cask bottling, distilled in April 2006, spent twelve years maturing in a first fill oloroso sherry hogshead. It was bottled at cask strength in May of 2018 at 59.6% ABV. Cask #900305 yielded 135 bottles.

Our tasting notes are as follows:

Color: Sanguine Copper

Nose: Warm fig cake and fresh bicycle tires upon first sniff leading into Mexican dark chocolate, browned butter, and toasted hazelnuts with hints of ground nutmeg and clove in the background

Palate: Rich and unctuous on entry with flavors of melted toffee, caramel kettle corn and pecan pie then a drying oakiness accompanied by ground ginger towards the rear of the palate

Finish: Warming with lingering toffee and oaky pepperiness, returning dark chocolate and ground spices, and an oily coating on the tongue

On the label: Warm, rich, and decadent is the best way to describe this blended malt. Milk chocolate and nougatty scents marry well with dark and fruity flavors, potpourri, and autumnal leaves. Oak spice and tiramisu remain on the finish.
