About this rum: This single cask bottling of Foursquare rum, distilled in March of 2011, spent eleven years maturing in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel. Cask # 33 was bottled June of 2022 and yielded 240 bottles at a cask strength of 56.1% ABV.
Our tasting notes are as follows:
Color: Copper
Nose: Opens on warm caramel drizzled over baked pears, apple crumble (with a focus on the caramelized light brown sugar) then new leather and cigar boxes with bright tropical fruits
Palate: Rich and oily texture with delicate notes of barbecued pineapple, toasted hazelnuts, and a pleasing pepperiness
Finish: Long and peppery with caramel, brown sugar, and lingering oak
