M&H 3, Ex-Islay Cask
$95.00Our tasting notes are as follow:
Color: Bright Gold
Nose: Toffee covered popcorn and browned butter notes leap from the glass but there’s also a wonderful brightness in the form of preserved lemons, Lemon Drops hard candies, freshly harvested barley, and hints of coastal sea breeze
Palate: Mezcal-like with its combination of smoke, salt, and citrus (there’s even a little jalapeño heat kicking around the edges of the tongue) but also buttery with wood spice and fresh vanilla pods.
Finish: Moderate with lingering jalapeño heat, quietly fading citrus, and a hint more salt, wood spice, and vanilla sweetness
On the label: Spirit of Collaboration Since 2011
Milk & Honey distillery in Tel Aviv, Israel was founded in 2013. Israel's first whisky distillery uses four stainless steel washbacks and two copper stills. While distillery capacity sits at 800,000 liters of pure alcohol per year current production is set at 200,000 lpa. Like in India and Taiwan maturation occurs incredibly quickly and the angel's share can be six or seven times that experienced in Scotland.
