Thornton Distilling Co, 2022 Release

This single cask bottling of Kosher for Passover American rum, distilled in January 2019, spent three years maturing in a new charred oak cask. Cask #34 was bottled February 2022 and yielded 250 bottles at a cask strength of 51.3% ABV.

Our tasting notes are as follow:

Gosh! On the nose this rum is both dense with dried fruits and bright with tart orange notes. There are gobs of toasted almonds and fresh clove to counter it all. A wonderfully oily texture with flavors of medium roast coffee, hints of carrot cake, and more almonds. This time the almonds come across sweeter. Almost marzipan-like. The finish, not unlike our 2021 release, is robust and satisfying with notes of fruit cake and charoset.

On the label: Spirit of Collaboration Since 2011
