Tasting Notes

NOSE: Leads with a smoky woodiness (ash in a wood burning stove, dry firewood) before becoming a little minerally (wet river rocks, warm mud) with fresh pine tar and a grounded sweetness a la banana chips.

PALATE: Bright and vegetal with yellow fruits, cracked pepper, celery salt, smoked rhubarb, and a warm caramel softness. After subsequent sips the flavors become quite malty (think Ovaltine) with buttered scones and milk chocolate.

FINISH: Moderate length with lingering wood smoke, echoes of cracked pepper, and celery soda.
