Tasting Notes

NOSE: Warm and inviting nose, freshly baked chocolate fondant straight from the oven. This is an expressive dram!

PALATE: Old fashioned toffee pennies on the palate, brown liquorice allsorts, maybe even the liquorice from a sherbet fountain. There’s an alluring dryness here, it’s sticking to your teeth without drying out your tongue.

FINISH: A little orangey chocolate with some nuts, perhaps even a walnut whip!

Longmorn has long been prized by blenders for its sweet and fruity profile but when given the chance, we love to give this malt the opportunity to shine as a single cask. Here we’ve given it a finish in a PX Barrique to showcase a nutty chocolate fondant character!
