Tasting Notes

NOSE: We start with a lovely warming oak spice and stewed fruits. There’s also honey topped warm oatmeal too, it’s lovely and warming.

PALATE: A mouthcoating texture with lot of clove and nutmeg on a homebaked fruitcake. It’s a richer texture than we expected.

FINISH: A long warming finish, with creamy vanilla ice cream and malted milk biscuits.

Description

Located in Alness in the Highlands, Teaninich distillery is a major part of Johnnie Walker blends and other Diageo products. It also is one of only two distilleries to use a mash filter, contributing to the grassy characteristics of the new make. This one has had a finish in PX to boost its rich texture.
