West Side Story

The distilleries located in the Western Highlands of Scotland seem to have their own unique style, or range of styles. While, technically speaking, there are just 5 regions of Scotland (Lowlands, Campbeltown, Islay, Speyside, and Highlands) we've often felt that the Western Highlands deserved its own regional designation. 

While our new Raasay is peaty, coastal, fruity, and candied our Ben Nevis is funky, earthy, and chocolatey. Despite how different these two whiskies are there's a certain quality to them that truly gives you a "Sense of Place," like our friend Dave Broom would say.
