Boulder Spirits 7 Year Old

American Single Malt Whisky

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever collaboration with Boulder Spirits, a partner that obsesses over their craft just as much as we do. Founded by Alastair Brogan, who traded Scotland for Colorado to perfect the art of American Single Malt. His distillery uses a traditional Forsyth’s pot still to create something truly special. We couldn’t be happier to team up with a crew that puts so much heart (and heritage) into every drop.

With our first cask from Boulder Spirits we wanted to hit the ground running. It’s wildly fruity, bursting with notes of stewed apricots, hints of cranberry, all polished off with a finish that tastes like warm compote on sourdough toast. The charred oak maturation offers up bourbon-like baking spices that tie the whole experience together beautifully (much like the dude's rug, a la The Big Lebowski). Strap in because this whisky is a total flavor ride that we definitely think you should hop aboard.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Lovely opening note of cranberry sauce with stewed apricots, unlit clove cigarettes, fresh cut red stalk rhubarb, and a note reminiscent of a sojourn through a pine forest. Note, too, brown baking spices and cracked pepper.

PALATE: Leads with fruit (returning stewed apricots) followed by brown baking spices and cracked pepper, then a drying nuttiness (could be the malted barley), raspberry jam with seeds included, chocolate covered raspberries, and toasted sesame seeds

FINISH: Long and lasting with lingering brown baking spices, warm honey drizzled over warm nuts, and raspberry jam
