Tasting Notes

NOSE: Smokey roasted pineapples, mangoes and papaya, maybe even heavily charred sweetcorn from a BBQ, chocolate pralines, oak spices and sandalwood.

PALATE: Through the smoke come the tart blackcurrants, there’s a creamy, baked cheesecake and Daim bars. Well integrated sherry mixes with sweet malty notes.

FINISH: There’s a touch of salty brine at the very end. Lip smacking and it will make you smile!

Description

Bowmore distillery is the oldest distillery on Islay, having been founded in 1779. They’re famous for Warehouse no. 1 which sees the casks maturing below sea level! We’re very excited to be able to release a 21 year old single cask from this noble distillery. This one is a smokey tropical delight.
