Girvan 33 Year Old

NOSE: Opens on an industrial note (think walking into a metal workshop) but very quickly transitions to warm porridge, orange spice, vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce, milk chocolate (think Carvel Chocolate Crunchies – if you know, you know), and even, in time, hints of Garam Masala around the edges. The bright citrus becomes more noticeable after a few sips.

PALATE: Take your time here and pay close attention to what the whisky wants to say because there’s a lot to unpack here – a soft, dense entry with pleasing oak presence gives way to layers of warm honey, summer meadow, dehydrated papaya, Graham Cracker crust, whispers of star anise as it transitions towards the finish.

FINISH: Good length with a pleasing citrus brightness (Joshua’s favorite Key Lime pie appears here), more milk chocolate, oak spice, and the subtlest hints of menthol as the experience fades towards memory.
