Good For The Soul
Single Malt Scotch Whisky
There's nothing quite like a whisky that gives you a warming hug, and the more you sip it, the tighter it feels. You can drink these whiskies year-round, but something about them has you reaching for them more as the weather cools. Enter our "Good for the Soul" bottlings for October.
Tobermory 20yo, PX Sherry Hogshead: Followers of our One Nation Under Whisky podcast may remember Joshua naming the Tobermory 17yo, bottled for our global markets, his SCN whisky of the year a couple of years back. It opened his eyes to the majesty of non-peated Tobermory spirit. This 20yo may just rival that bottling! It's a shining example of older Tobermory, perfect for the season when there's time to slow down and unpack an older dram. Such a rewarding dram (and only around 130 bottles from the cask)!
"Blacksboat Bridge," 13yo Fresh Oloroso Hogshead: Few Speysiders match the warming quality of this distillery, which we can't name. It's richly spiced with pronounced malt (think mulled spices and Oktoberfest beers), plus black tea, sassafras, orange oil, clove, and scorched sandalwood. It's like an October walk in the woods.
Auchroisk 15yo, Trinidadian Rum Barrel: Halloween candy for adults. It has remarkable sweetness and heft, with heavy notes of white chocolate, cream soda, milk chocolate-covered Turkish Delight, and pistachio cream, plus chocolate-covered Digestive Biscuits and the faintest hint of lavender.
Three incredibly unique whiskies for cooler weather, all sure to give you that warming hug.
Good For The Soul is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
