Tasting Notes

NOSE: Warm and comforting with pecan pie, muscovado sugar, damp earth, toasted wholewheat bread, chocolate covered orange peels, and pleasing oak spice.

PALATE: The dark, earthy notes from the nose are right here: damp earth, pecan pie, and charred oak. Nutty, too, with toasted hazelnuts and Penuche fudge.

FINISH: Remains comforting to the very end. Notes of ground grey pepper, cocoa powder, and roasted coffee beans.

Description

To our minds (and palates) Linkwood produces some of the most consistent spirit in all of Speyside. You can’t bottle a bad Linkwood; the trick is bottling a spectacular Linkwood and that friends is what we have here. 14 years in 1st Fill Bourbon and then another 4 years in Spanish Oak Oloroso makes for a spectacularly delicious Linkwood.
